A Parent's perspective:
Natalie Johnson, Ph.D. is a highly skilled teacher and communicator. My daughter was enrolled in her College Test Prep class in her junior year at Waubonsie Valley High School. My daughter would often come home sharing stories about her experiences in class particularly relating to thought provoking discussions, guest speakers and Dr. Johnson's engaging approach to learning. Dr. Johnson's dedication to teaching and expanding young minds beyond the constraints of the classroom is simply remarkable. Her enthusiasm is contagious. I would highly recommend her class.

A volunteer's perspective:
READit's Founder [Natalie Johnson, Ph.D.] is by far one of the most innovative and effective instructors I've witnessed in a classroom. She raises the standard for education by inspiring and instilling the belief in her students that they can achieve their goals one step at a time... She catered specific goals for her class to achieve as a whole, as well as individually in their [standardized] test scores. Setting goals and expectations for each student are what made the differences in her College Test Prep class achieving remarkably higher ACT scores by the end of the semester. [Dr. Johnson- READit's Founder] also possesses a dynamic teaching style that is filled with energy, passion and purpose. Her effective communication, poised demeanor and vibrant personality encourage her students to expect more from themselves in her classroom and in life. [Dr. Johnson] is a true leader who not only captivated the minds of her students within the classroom, but had outside influences as well. Her class took field trips to learn about etiquette and volunteered with organizations that supported the homeless. [Dr. Johnson's] focus is about developing each student into a whole person, which explains her dedication and level of influence in every young mind she has taught. It is my sincere hope that [her] formula for success in the classroom will expand nationwide; our future needs more teachers, like Mrs. Johnson, that are not only instructing, but developing future leaders for our nation and around the world.
